About Our Location

Hidden Valley Guest Ranch is nestled in the mountains of southwestern Montana. Though it offers a secluded atmosphere, it is easily accessible with airports in nearby Butte and Bozeman, MT and in Idaho Falls, ID. Not only is the guest ranch conveniently located near 3 airports, it is just off Interstate 15.

The local area offers many sites for the history buff to visit. Lewis and Clark explored the area 195 years ago and even wrote about landmarks that are on the ranch. Famous ghost towns Nevada City, Virginia City, and Bannack are all within 45 minutes of the ranch. Guests can travel to the Big Hole Battle Field or visit the impressive Lewis and Clark Caverns.

For nature enthusiasts the ranch has much to offer. Clark Canyon Reservoir is just 15 minutes away and 2 miles of the beautiful Beaverhead River winds its way through the ranch. Numerous springs, streams, and waterfalls are on the ranch which create a unique atmosphere for guests to explore. The spring water is constantly between 68 and 71 degrees year around so even during the winter the water is free from ice. The warm water on the ranch also acts as a refuge for many types of wildlife. All of the wildlife that are located on the ranch are easy to observe and enjoy.

For those who like to ski, Maverick Mountain is only 40 minutes from the ranch and offers excellent downhill and cross-country skiing. No matter what you want to do, the location of the ranch in scenic southwestern Montana gives you convenient access to numerous activities in addition to the seclusion you're looking for in a quality vacation.
